about Rapture

Online Trading Card Games are similar to the trading cards you knew as a child. Rather than playing in person and collecting cards from packs at the store, you collect everything online. The goal is to collect all of the cards you like, also know as mastering a deck. Online TCGs are free to play, a ton of fun, and uber addictive! Interested in joining? Check out the rest of our info section and the rules on the join page beforehand!

about mastering

Once you have collected all of the cards in a deck, you have mastered the deck. This means you cannot trade away any of these cards (except for doubles, of course) but you will receive some rewards for each regular deck mastery. Cards MUST be logged in your trade post before you can master a deck. Refer to the activity and trade logs section below to see how your logs should be written out.

» Regular Mastery: 2 regular cards of choice, 3 random regular cards.
» a shiny master badge to show off!

trade posts

activity & trade logs

Before you begin, you'll need a trade post. If you don't have a website, you can use free blogging sites, such as Livejournal or Dreamwidth to post your cards, or you can seek free hosting from websites such as TCG Publicity, Skyblade or Asterous. Basic knowledge is enough to manage your tradepost, but sometimes it's easier to use a TCG management script, such as Easy TCG, Mandi's Card Manager or Marfisa's Card Manager. Include these things on your site:

  • Stats: A level badge, a link back, card count / worth, items, currency & coupons.
  • Cards: Your current collection / keeping, cards up for trade, and mastered decks.
  • Logs: Detailed records of trades / game rewards or how you've acquired each card.
  • Contact: A trade form, email address, or post on livejournal / dreamwidth / other website.

Whatever you do in Rapture, you will need to log it on your site. This means logging trades with other members, game rewards, doubles exchanges, rewards for mastering a deck, leveling up, etc. Everything must be logged correctly. This will be used to prove the cards you've received and when you've received them and will prevent cheating. It will also help with getting rewards and lets the staff know that you are still actively playing. Examples of logs are below:

  • Bad Logs: Oct 17: played some games, got some cards.
  • Good Logs: Oct 17: jukebox - got clash03 and hearts07.
